Hawthorne PTO Being involved in your child's education is a key to their success! One way in doing so is helping guide decisions for the school's community. We are blessed to have a wonderful PTO council, but the more involvement the better! Even if you cannot physically help, the website will help keep you informed. City of Westerville I'm always looking for fun things to do with my children. Visit the City of Westerville's website and click on "events calendar" to find out what's going on around town. iReady iReady is an online learning tool that we use at school to assist with both READING and MATH. Your children will also take online assessments using this App. iReady can be found on your child's CLEVER account (information will be sent home sometime during the first quarter). Lexia Lexia is an online learning tool to help the children with Literacy concepts. Lexia can be found on your child's CLEVER account (information will be sent home sometime during the first quarter). E-Learning for Kids E-Learning for Kids has interactive games for children to develop their skills in math, language arts, science and technology. This site is appropriate for children in grades K-6. ABCYa ABCYa has interactive games to develop skills in math, reading, and more. This site is geared towards children in grades K-5. Math Playground Math Playground has tons of fun math games for kids to play. One of our favorite is their Online Geometry Board. We've been practicing making our kindergarten shapes on this website. Guess the Number This classic classroom game develops childrens' skills in halving and estimation. Can you guess the mystery number?! Funbrain Funbrain has tons of educational games and online books. It is for kids in grades PreK-8. The site offers interactive games that develop skills in math and reading. Pete the Cat We LOVE Pete the Cat. Check out the fun videos, songs, and activities on this site! Book Adventure Book Adventure is a fun way to motivate your child to read! Parents can monitor their child’s reading progress, track quiz results, and help their child find their next book to read. Starfall Starfall is a great place for beginning readers to practice letters and sounds as well as basic reading skills.
